No. LegacyLink Testing & Compliance Services LLC is an independent specimen collection and testing coordination company, and we do not represent ourselves as AABB accredited. Laboratory analysis is performed by our laboratory partner.

What is a legal chain of custody collection?

It is a documented collection process in which a trained collector verifies each participant's identity with government-issued photo ID, photographs the participants, collects the samples, and seals them in tamper-evident packaging with signed paperwork. This documentation supports use of the laboratory results for court and other official purposes when applicable requirements are met.

Does the collection hurt?

No. Standard collections use a soft buccal (cheek) swab that takes about a minute per person. It is painless and safe for newborns, children, and adults.

How soon will I get results?

Turnaround time varies by test and begins after the laboratory receives acceptable samples. We provide an estimated timeframe when the test is ordered.

Do I need an appointment?

Yes. All collections are by appointment so we can confirm the correct test type, required participants, and documentation before you arrive. Mobile appointments are scheduled based on your location in the DFW area.

What should I bring to my appointment?

Each adult participant should bring a valid government-issued photo ID. For minors, bring the child's birth certificate or Social Security card and the ID of the accompanying parent or guardian. If a court, agency, or attorney ordered the test, bring that paperwork as well.

Yes. Participant information and results are handled confidentially and released only to the individuals or authorized parties designated on the testing paperwork.
